Java Tech Tips

Java Tech Tips In this series of articles now on Oracle’s Sun Developer Network you’ll find code to address specific issues in Java development. The code is set up and explained in a series of short independent bimonthly articles. Here, for example, is an Introduction to Java Advanced Imaging.

Zero Conf samples

Zero Configuration NetworkingThis is the code download for the book I wrote with Stuart Cheshire on Bonjour programming called Zero Configuration Networking. Bonjour is now used in interesting ways in every Apple device. The examples in this book show you how to take advantage of this network infrastructure in a variety of languages. The examples are written in C, Java, and Objective-C.

Cocoa Programming samples

Cocoa Programming Here is a link to the code download from Cocoa Programming: A Quick-Start Guide for Developers. This is filled with sample code written in Objective-C 2.0 and includes many of the most important Cocoa design patterns. The code examples take advantage of properties, the enhanced for loop, and more recently added features such as blocks.

There are bonus samples for now from my talks at DevDay for iPhone. Here are the slides and code from the Core Animation presentation.
