What we’ve done: Presentations
Teaching and Training
Currently in addition to private corporate training, I teach public and private iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS X courses for the Pragmatic Studio. I taught Mathematics and Computer Science at Oberlin College, at John Carroll University, and at Case Western Reserve University. I also taught mathematics at the high school level and in various academic programs.
Conferences
I’ve spoken and delivered tutorials at dozens of conferences including large shows such as Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, MacWorld Expo, JavaOne, and the Joint Mathematics Meetings and more intimate shows such as Code Mash, No Fluff Just Stuff, and Mac Hack. Here is a screencast recreation of the talk I gave at the tenth Jini Community Meeting in Brussels with the original slide deck.
Video and Screencasts
Screencasts and videos are an effective way of presenting demonstrations quickly. For example, here is a three minute screencast that serves as a promotional video for my Cocoa Programming book. You can improve distance learning and in-person training and presentations by incorporating video and screencasts.
