Here in Ohio we’ve spent the week hearing about new suspensions for Ohio State football players.
Through this whole saga it’s been interesting to hear the back and forth. One side repeats that, “They should have known that was wrong.” The other side excuses the players saying, “How could they have known they weren’t allowed to do what they did.”
This week, however, the issue feels a bit different. We keep hearing that what the students did wrong in this case was receive too much money for too little work.
Too much money for too little work.
That’s the crime. Perhaps the students are guilty of that but it seems that quite a few others might more appropriately fit that bill.
Of course the NCAA doesn’t govern that world.
